History

Though Docdata was founded in 1976, it wasn’t until 1991 that they started with one of the current activities. The Dutch Van den Nieuwenhuyzen brothers incorporated their cd manufacturing plants into Docdata, and in return received the majority of stocks. The turnover doubled, and Docdata went from an inventors club to a profitable company.

For about 10 years, Docdata manufactured and distributed cd’s and dvd’s, from sites in The Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain and France. Docdata also developed programs for industrial automation. This lead into the founding of IAI Industrial Systems, part of the current DOCDATA N.V.

In the year 2000, Docdata decided to start focusing on ecommerce, with their logistical activities as a solid foundation. By acquiring companies such as Triple Deal and ICenT, a course was set to a range of services that could be used to take on the entire ecommerce process. With the expansion of Docdata’s ecommerce services to Great Britain and Germany, the company is able to service a wider range of customers.
