New offset lithographic disc printing press installed

Following a two-year, £4 million investment programme, the Company has maintained full manufacturing capability for music and software CDs and Cassettes while installing new technology for 'high-speed' offset-/screen printing, DVD manufacture and automated packing. The DOCdata printing lines are among the most technically sophisticated in the world, and able to offer litho and silkscreen printing in up to 6 colours. The new Kammann K15-40 offset-/screen printing machine can produce up to 4,800 discs per hour, using four waterless offset print units and two screen-printing heads. The line resolution count on the offset discs is 175 lines, providing customers with photographic quality, high definition images on their DVDs and CDs.
