Docdata and IMRG Collaboration

The Interactive Media in Retail Group is a membership community open to all online businesses, which provides retailers with the latest in the market insights; and reliable statistical data to enable them to succeed in this competitive and fast paced e-commerce market. The recently created “IMRG Knowledge Base portal” permits IMRG members to access and share valuable market intelligence, most recent industry developments and best practices to date.

The IMRG has forecast that online sales will reach in excess of €80bn in the UK alone in 2011. In this rapidly growing e-retail market, many retailers are looking to sustain their growth rates and seek out new business opportunities across the border.

Based on these findings, Docdata has partnered with IMRG to launch the first stage of ‘The E-Retail International Logistics Guide’. This guide showcases country profiling in greater detail and highlights opportunities in the ecommerce market for retailers growing overseas, focusing on the UK market as a benchmark. The guide further investigates expansion into 16 other geographic markets in more depth.

The E-logistics Guide will benefit not only our existing clients, but also e-retailers that are looking to expand, or who are already active in overseas markets. Within the UK it will enable e-retailers to meet online shopping expectations in terms of product ranges, price and availability and to improve their overall retail offering.

      Docdata implemented a design overhaul for the client’s existing website to improve overall look and feel and simplify the customer purchase journey.

      The website was set up to trade in the UK and US with multicurrency and separate logistics locations.

      The solution provided included a flexible CMS (content management system) to allow workflow management of new season products and content, extensive sales and discounting management, plus access to exclusive Lulu footage in the form of rich media.

      Localised sites for China and the Far East have also since been launched by docdata.

    • REN - 75% revenue increase measured

      REN skincare required a creative upgrade and restructured site architecture to simplify the customer purchase journey and refresh their ecommerce website.

      Dodata achieved this by incorporating a ‘Quick Shop’ option in the purchase area of the site, plus a rewards points system and ‘Product for Life’ customer loyalty schemes. A bespoke CMS system tailored to the client’s expanding business needs gave the client the freedom to update and manage the site content efficiently themselves.

      Since site relaunch there has been a successful 75% revenue increase measured online.
